Choclate Bar Ep

After several huge singles, and a planned album, with Love Monk, Space Ranger returns to Plimsoll and Grande Buffo Records (Vinyl: Plimsoll005/ Digital GB7009-5) with 4 disco boogie house burners. Not really edits, but diced up loops and breaks from the trio's deep record collection reworked with synths, drums, and deft studio magic.
"CHOCOLATE BAR" kicks things off, featuring heavy drums and bass from the classic BAR-KAYS cut "HOLY GHOST, but retrofitted with builds and drops to get a dance floor pumping. Rounding out the A-side is "COSTA VERDE" with it's simmering disco drums building until some funky sax loops drop in to make everyone feel alright.
The B-side features two versions of "CRYSTAL COFFEE" which is built from chopped up sections of DC LA RUE's classic "CATHEDRALS". One keeps it raw, letting the samples speak for themselves and should appeal to fans of the edit sound. While the second version sprinkles the samples over a backdrop of deep synth pads, that make it a perfect match with current nu-disco or cosmic disco tracks.
